I have spent my life observing people & nature through my travels and I paint a variety of subjects, from still life & flowers to animals & landscapes.  Having worked in acrylics & pastels in the past, I now paint mostly in watercolour, a challenging medium that I love for its transparency & light.

I became a member of the Yeovil Art Group in South Somerset several years ago & take the opportunity to attend professional artists’ workshops whenever I can. I like to try out new mediums & methods to achieve the effects I want. 

 

My husband & I live in an old cottage in the beautiful countryside of South Somerset with  our two cats & a large garden and my ‘new’ studio is a converted pig sty!

Between 1971 and the early 1980s, with my indomitable mother ‘Jaffa’, I was actively involved in pioneering the introduction of the rare and unique Caspian Horse of Iran into the UK and setting up the Stud Book and breed society, importing and exporting horses while widely promoting and exhibiting the breed.

These years of high activity featured many difficulties and triumphs and led to adventures and involvement with well-known names and British royalty.
